Europe
We work with international businesses. So we have done consultancy projects throughout
western Europe, North America – and sometimes further afield. Often, but not always,
they are commissioned by the UK head office of a multinational group.
In Europe our largest restructuring assignments are in France, Germany and the UK.
However, we have worked frequently in Scandinavia, and in Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands,
Portugal and Spain. More recently, we have been supporting clients in central and
eastern Europe – the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland in particular – not only
to reorganise businesses but also to improve their ability to operate within more
competitive supply chains. We advise managers on how to work within local constraints
and on how to secure effective partnerships with trades unions. They trust our understanding
of working practices in foreign markets and our knowledge of employment law in different
countries.
We also support foreign-owned companies, particularly American businesses that are
investing in Europe. Our knowledge of business practices – in the USA, in mainland
Europe and in the UK – provides a robust platform for advising companies on international
operations. And we provide regular advice on employment practices and changing legislation
to managers with responsibility for employing people in different countries
